This a shout-out! to the other 98% statewide, let's peacefully occupy the California State Capitol for as long as it takes, with the stated goals of shutting down the cuts as proposed, closing the massive tax loopholes long abused by Corporate America and equitably taxing the top 2%.
Planning on a Minimum four day occupation, starting the afternoon of Friday April 15th through Monday 18th, open ended... Aware of the many other actions planned during this time period, suggesting people drop in and out as necessary to accommodate other obligations. Not much going on elsewhere Sat/Sun if those days work best for you and yours please do show-up.
Bring family and friends, RVs, Campers, Tents, Sleeping bags, water, foodstuff for you and your group as well as everything needed for a long-term encampment. Inspired by the Millions of Egyptians who occupied Tahrir Square, recent protests inside the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison and the ongoing occupation of the Washington State Capitol in Olympia, WA.
NO Vandalism! Respect the locals, restaurants and shops, they may be feeding you one day soon. Violent anarchist elements from the greater SF bay area are NOT welcome or invited to attend!
